Assistant Coach
Women's Volleyball
Position
- Assist with coaching a highly competitive women's volleyball
program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference
- Assist with recruitment of Division I quality student-athletes
- Possess knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations
- Assist with monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes
- Assist with team practice and game day coaching responsibilities
- Supervise weight training and the conditioning program
- Scout/Film breakdown, live video streaming/film exchange
- Organize volleyball camps and assist with fundraising and outreach
activities
- Work in conjunction with the head coach regarding budget, travel
and scheduling of opponents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree desired
- Prior women's volleyball coaching experience /playing at the
Division I level preferred
- Ability to recruit Division I level student-athletes and a demonstrated
commitment to their satisfactory academic progress
- Possession of excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
as well as organizational skills
- Ability to interact successfully with a wide and culturally
diverse range of students, and to work harmoniously with students,
colleagues, and the community
Rank & Salary
The rank and classification is a Coaching Assistant. This is a 12-month,
full time temporary position. Salary is competitive and commensurate
with experience and qualifications. The University offers excellent,
