Assistant Coach
Women's Gymnastics

Position

  • Assist with coaching a highly competitive women's gymnastics program which competes in the NCAA Division I WAC Conference
  • Recruit Division I quality student-athletes
  • Know and abide by NCAA rules and regulations
  • Assist with the monitoring of the academic progress of student-athletes
  • Assist with team practice and game day coaching responsibilities
  • Supervise weight training and the conditioning program
  • Work in conjunction with the head coach regarding budget, travel and scheduling of opponents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree desired
  • Experience as a competitor and familiarity with USGF club programs required
  • Ability to recruit Division I level student-athletes and a demonstrated commitment to their satisfactory academic progress
  • Ability to coach Elite/Level 10 skills in all four women's events as well as spot.
  • Competitive or coaching experience required. NCAA competitive or coaching experience desired.
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as organizational skills
  • Ability to interact successfully with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, and to work harmoniously with students, colleagues, and the community

Rank & Salary
The rank and classification is a Coaching Assistant. This is a 10-month, full time position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
