Head
Strength & Conditioning Coach

Position

  • Develop, implement, and monitor weight training and conditioning for all 17 men's and women's sports
  • Provide instruction in proper equipment usage, speed development, testing and evaluation of student athlete performance
  • Know and abide by NCAA rules and regulations
  • Oversee operation, security, regulations, scheduling, and general maintenance of Weight room areas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree desired
  • Minimum of two years collegiate experience preferred
  • NSCA and either USA Weightlifting or NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist required
  • CPR Certification required, First Aid desired
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as organizational skills
  • Ability to interact successfully with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, and to work harmoniously with students and colleagues

The rank and classification is a Coaching Specialist. This is a 12-month, full time temporary position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
