Applied Psychology
Tenure Track
The Department of Psychology at California State University, Fullerton,
invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position
in Applied Psychology. The position begins in August 2008.
Position
This position is open to any area of psychology. However, candidates
with a focus in industrial/organizational (including human factors
and consumer psychology), forensic/legal, or sports psychology are
particularly encouraged to apply. The individual in this position
will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in his or her substantive
area of research, as well as general courses such as introductory
psychology, internship, and the supervision of students in research
activities, including undergraduate projects and masters' theses.
Qualifications
Candidates must have and present evidence of:
- Ph.D. in Psychology or related field is required for appointment
- Effective teaching at the college level
- The ability to interact effectively with a wide and culturally
diverse range of students and colleagues
- Scholarship leading to publication
- A commitment to developing a strong research program that involves
undergraduate and graduate students
- Being able to balance excellent teaching, scholarship, and professional
service
Rank and Salary
The position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure-track.
Salary is commensurate to rank, experience, and qualifications.
Salary is subject to budgetary authorization and any California
State University System faculty contract increases. Additional teaching
in summer and intersession is often available. An excellent comprehensive
