California State University, Fullerton is a large, comprehensive, urban university with approximately 2,108 full- and part-time faculty and a diverse student body of approximately over 37,130. The university offers a broad spectrum of programs, with 55 baccalaureate and 50 master's degrees in liberal arts and sciences and in applied and professional fields and a joint doctorate in education. Community College Leadership

The faculty of the Educational Leadership Department invites applications from or nominations of individuals for an open-rank position. This faculty member will participate with Dr. Dawn R. Person in the development and implementation of an Ed.D. specialization in Higher Education/Community College Leadership, Master of Science in Education with a concentration in higher education leadership, and an on-line MS in Adult Learning. The Department offers an Ed.D. specialization in Pre K-12 Leadership and the Master of Science degree and the Preliminary and Professional Administrative Credential. In excess of 150 students are usually enrolled in these programs from a variety of school districts in Southern California. The educational programs of the School are NCATE accredited.

Qualifications
Applicants must have:

  • An earned doctorate in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community and be committed to the preparation of graduates to meet the needs of the diverse populations of Southern California
  • Leadership experience in higher education /community college settings,
  • Demonstrated ability to teach doctoral and masters level courses,
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and support doctoral and masters students through the graduate process,
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and carryout a research agenda,
  • Expertise in several of the focus areas for courses taught in the department.

Rank & Salary
The position is at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure-track. Salary is competitive and commensurate to rank, experience and qualifications. Periodic salary adjustments are enacted by the state legislature. Additional teaching in summer and intersession is often available.
