full- and part-time faculty and a diverse student body of approximately

Journalism
Tenure Track
Position
Successful candidate will teach basic journalism courses, such as
Writing for Mass Media, Reporting for Mass Media, Feature Writing,
Public Affairs Reporting, and other journalism courses, including
those dealing with new media, as needed. This position may include
advising the award-winning student newspaper, The Daily Titan.
The course load is 4/4. Assignment to one or more courses housed
at CSUF satellite campus in Irvine is a possible condition of employment.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. in communications or a related
field;
- At least five years experience as a professional journalist.
- Ability to teach a wide range of journalism courses
- Previous teaching experience required.
- Must be able to interact effectively with a wide and culturally
diverse range of students and faculty.
- Experience working with and/or teaching new media skills highly
desired.
Rank & Salary
This is a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Salary is competitive and commensurate to rank, experience and qualifications.
Periodic salary adjustments are enacted by the state legislature.
Additional teaching in summer is often available. An excellent comprehensive
