Endowed Chair in Family Business
The College of Business and Economics at California State University,
Fullerton seeks to fill an endowed position in Family Business with
a faculty member who possesses a distinguished record in this emerging
field. This individual will join a Family Business program that
is a Center of Excellence in the College. The Family Business Council
and Center was established in 1995 and already sponsors one of the
best family business programs in the country.
Opportunities for this position include the following:
- Teach undergraduate, graduate, and executive education courses
in Family Business and possibly a secondary area
- Drive development of Family Business academic and professional
curriculum
- Play an integral role in the CSUF Family Business Council
- Advise students interested in family business
- Conduct and encourage research in family business issues
- Interact with individuals and companies on the Family Business
Council
- Work with the Center Director to grow the Council and support
base
- Participate in department, College, and university activities
The individual should ideally possess the following credentials:
- Relevant Masters or Ph.D. degree from an accredited institution
(AACSB preferred).
- Strong commitment to teaching and research;
- Several years of executive level business experience;
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide and culturally diverse
range of students and faculty;
- University teaching experience is highly desirable;
- Research record in family business and experience working with
family businesses is preferred.
NOTE: Appointment to a tenure-track position is contingent
upon presentation of an earned doctoral degree and evidence of significant
teaching and research in this field.
Rank & Salary
This position will be either a tenure-track faculty position or
a non tenure-track lecturer position, depending upon qualifications.
This is a term position. Salary is commensurate with rank, experience,
and qualifications. The University offers excellent comprehensive

both the undergraduate and master's levels. There are over 150 full-time
