Tenure-Track

Position
Applications are invited for several tenure-track positions in the Department of Finance at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The Department is interested in strong finance candidates with solid training and strong teaching and research potential. Teaching responsibilities will be in the standard undergraduate and MBA finance courses for the areas referred below. Our faculty utilize WRDS and subscribe to the major finance databases. Tenure-track faculty are expected to teach six hours each semester for the first two years, and after that the teaching load depends on research productivity. Summer teaching opportunities, research grants or summer support may be available.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Finance by time of appointment.
  • A strong, on-going commitment to research and publication in high-quality journals is required.
  • Experience as innovative teachers with strong instructional-computer skills, and a demonstrated interest in the University, its students, curriculum and teaching methodologies are necessary.
  • Preference is given to those candidates doing research in investments, banking or financial planning.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students and colleagues.

These are tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Salary is competitive and commensurate to rank, experience and qualifications of the applicant.
